Click here to See full calendar<\/a><\/p>\n Our Coffee morning with activities for children on 17th February was well attended with several children enjoying the activies and pancakes.<\/p>\n We are now able to access the internet from the church which significantly enhances our services.<\/p>\n Our Beliefs<\/strong><\/p>\n Those who worship at Tabor believe Jesus Christ to be their Lord and Saviour. Like many Free Churches we depend on Lay Preachers to lead our worship and are grateful for all those who come to share God’s Word with us…some of our preachers have been coming to us for a very long time and we view them as part of our Tabor family. Our services consist of praising God through the singing of hymns, listening to His Word from scripture and through the sermon or talk and coming to Him in prayer.<\/p>\n Eric Barge and Margaret West, both former Pastors of the church lead worship on a regular basis and often their services include the sacrament of Holy Communion. All who come to Tabor and profess to love the Lord Jesus are welcome to share in our Communion Services.<\/p>\n We believe we must ‘preach the gospel’ in our daily lives and so we aim to put our beliefs in to practice in whatever way we can. Jesus taught us to love and care for one another and so whenever we can we try to support those who are less fortunate than ourselves.<\/p>\n Our church has a collection bin for the Somer Valley Foodbank and we are regular donors.\u00a0 We try to support appeals made at times of disaster.<\/p>\n We believe it is important to get to know one another and so we have coffee\/tea together after the services.\u00a0 Occasionally, we share a lunch together.<\/p>\n Tabor was established as a church in 1865. In 1930 the then trustees decided against joining the Methodist Union and Tabor remains a free church under the control of local trustees. The ground floor of the church (the old schoolroom) is used by Timsbury Childcare<\/a> group in the week.
